For all BMW models with the factory-fitted BMW navigation preparation (Navigator IV, V, VI) or the ConnectedRide Mount.

Function and product features

  • The USB charging box with integrated Peak Design smartphone mount can be installed plug & play into the BMW navigation preparation or the ConnectedRide Mount.
    To charge, simply connect the smartphone to the USB charging box.
  • USB charging box
    • Simply inserted into the navigation holder or the ConnectedRide Mount, locked in place and secured against theft.
    • Power supply via the contact pins.
    • When inserted, the USB charging box is connected directly to the on-board electrical system.
    • Two USB ports: USB 3.1 Type A and USB 3.1 Type C.
    • Complies with Quick Charge standards QC 3.0 and QC 4.0.
    • Two LED indicators show operational readiness (blue) and intelligent communication (red).
    • The charging box is splash-proof – when not in use, the ports can be sealed against water spray and dust with precisely fitting elastomer covers.
    • Various mounting systems or navigation brackets (e.g. Garmin Zumo XT) with a standardised hole pattern can be securely and space-efficiently bolted to the charging box.

  • Includes Peak Design smartphone mount with integrated vibration damping for accommodating model-specific Peak Design smartphone cases.

Note

  • Smartphone and smartphone case are not included. To use a smartphone, a suitable Peak Design smartphone case (##39001-0xx) is required.

Two Quick Charge ports: USB A and USB C
On the right-hand side of the housing, there are two USB 3.1 ports (Type A and Type C) supporting QC 3.0 and QC 4.0 (Quick Charge) standards.

The USB charging box features a blue LED indicating operational readiness and a red LED signalling intelligent communication (charging power, charging status) between the smartphone and the USB charging box. They are located above the ports.
The splash-proof charging box is equipped with precisely fitting elastomer covers that protect the ports from water spray and dust when not in use.

The Peak Design smartphone mount is included in this set and is bolted to the USB box via an adapter. The innovative damping module protects increasingly sensitive smartphone components from potential damage caused by engine and chassis vibrations by effectively reducing them.

The mount is designed to secure a smartphone with a Peak Design case. It is made from robust, weather-resistant aluminium and engineered for the toughest conditions. High-quality materials and a lifetime warranty make it a reliable companion – regardless of weather, smartphone type or motorcycle.

At the front, the charging box is equipped with four screws arranged precisely to match the standardised hole pattern of various mounting systems, such as the Garmin Zumo XT bracket. This allows these systems to be securely and space-efficiently bolted to the charging box and supplied with power.
