With the ERGO RT, we are introducing for the first time a new, technically and aesthetically innovative principle for handlebar risers for the BMW R1300 RT. It is compatible with both the forged and the tubular handlebar.

Exclusive: The new Wunderlich handlebar riser for Telelever models

• New, innovative design principle: Unlike conventional solutions where the riser is part of the tubular handlebar clamp, this handlebar riser is based on an independent concept patented by Wunderlich
• The goal was to create a harmoniously integrated and technically elegant riser that discreetly blends into the overall cockpit design of Telelever BMWs
• The handlebar bridge has two precisely defined mounting points:
  • at the upper end of the steering head, and
  • further forward, on a flexform plate connected to the Telelever suspension
• It is here that we install two precisely machined pillars made of high-strength aluminium
• Each pillar measures 25 millimetres and provides an exact rise of the handlebar bridge by 25 millimetres

The riser is structurally unobtrusive, technically sophisticated, and aesthetically perfectly integrated.

Note

When using the ERGO RT handlebar riser in combination with the tubular handlebar of the R 1300 RT, the full range of handlebar tilt adjustment remains available. This allows the seating position to be optimally adapted to individual needs and noticeably improved.

The handlebar riser is compatible with both the forged and the tubular handlebar. Unlike conventional handlebar bridges, where the riser becomes part of the tubular handlebar clamp, the ERGO RT handlebar riser features a new, patented design concept. The aim was to integrate the riser in a technically refined and aesthetically perfect way, achieving a discreet, almost hidden appearance.

Specially developed by our engineers for RT riders, the handlebar riser is compatible with the original forged and tubular handlebars. It raises the handlebar by 25 millimetres, an increase optimally adapted for touring. The ergonomic effects are considerable: it relaxes the back and arm muscles while relieving the spine, pelvis and coccyx. This significantly improves long-distance comfort and noticeably reduces fatigue. Overall, the riser supports a relaxed, intuitive riding style that enhances active riding safety and provides a better view of traffic thanks to the more upright seating position.
