The key difference between the two Wunderlich systems, ERGO and ERGO+, is not the quality, but the geometry. The ERGO is designed for riders who simply want to raise their handlebars. The ERGO+ additionally reduces the distance between the handlebars and the rider.

With the ERGO GS+, we introduce our new, technically and aesthetically innovative handlebar riser concept for the BMW R1300 GS and R1300 GS Adventure. It is compatible with both the original GS tubular handlebars and BMW's comfort handlebars.

• The ERGO GS+ handlebar riser for the BMW R1300 GS and R1300 GS Adventure combines a 30 mm increase in handlebar height with a 30 mm offset towards the rider
• Suitable for tubular and comfort handlebars
• Innovative design principle: Unlike conventional solutions, where the riser forms part of the tubular handlebar clamp, this handlebar riser is based on an independent Wunderlich concept protected by a registered utility model
• Our aim was to create a technically elegant, harmoniously integrated riser that blends discreetly into the overall appearance of the cockpit on BMW Telelever models
• The upper fork bridge features two precisely defined mounting points:
  • At the upper end of the steering head and
  • Further forward, on a flexible formed metal plate connected to the Telelever suspension
• These are precisely the points where we install two columns, precision-manufactured from high-strength aluminium
• Each column measures 30 millimetres. Together, they raise the upper fork bridge by exactly 30 mm while positioning the handlebars 30 mm closer to the rider.

The riser is discreet by design, technically sophisticated and aesthetically integrated.

• When using the ERGO GS+ handlebar riser in combination with the tubular handlebars, the full range of handlebar tilt adjustment is retained. This allows the riding position to be optimally adapted to individual requirements and noticeably improved
• Due to its design, the ERGO+ handlebar riser slightly restricts the opening angle of the storage compartment at the front of the fuel tank

ERGO GS+: Optimised ergonomics for noticeably improved comfort and relaxed, fatigue-free riding

Developed by our engineers specifically for GS riders, this handlebar riser is compatible with both the original BMW comfort handlebars and the original tubular handlebars. Unlike conventional handlebar risers, where the height adjustment becomes part of the tubular handlebar clamp, the ERGO GS+ introduces a new design protected by a registered utility model. One of our objectives was to integrate the riser in a technically sophisticated and aesthetically harmonious way, making the modification discreet and almost invisible.

The handlebar riser raises the handlebars by 30 millimetres and moves them 30 millimetres closer to the rider. The height is perfectly matched to the GS. The ergonomic benefits are considerable, helping to relax the entire back musculature and arms while reducing strain on the spine, pelvis and coccyx. This significantly improves long-distance comfort and noticeably reduces fatigue. Overall, the handlebar riser supports an intuitive, relaxed riding style that contributes to greater active riding safety. The more upright riding position also provides a better view of surrounding traffic and terrain when riding off-road.
